Love this place!
One of the few places you can come and have a yummy simple meal with the best BBQ sauce - and many different types to choose from.
I always get the pulled chicken with broccoli and Mac n cheese as my sides. The broccoli is fresh and seasoned well. I love all of the BBQ sauces to choose from. I end up mixing the traditional and white BBQ together for my meat.
I have also had the chopped chicken and it's yummy too! The chopped chicken has a bit more juice to it but I preferred the pulled chicken and adding my own sauce. Just my preference.
I used them to cater my farewell to a nursing school rotation at a hospital and everything was perfect when I picked it up. I ordered chopped chicken, pulled pork, smoked turkey, Mac n cheese, beans, and broccoli. They did an excellent job of estimating how much I would need for the amount of people I was serving. Everyone was full and happy with the options.
Whenever I am over this way I stop in to eat. You order at the counter and then take a seat and they bring the food over to you - or at least they have every time I have been there. You self serve your drinks and any extra sauces you like will be next to the drink area. -

Usually I would give this restaurant a higher rating, but I had a terrible experience tonight. I got an order to-go, and I asked for 1/2lb of smoked turkey and a large order of fries. Guy on the phone says, "why don't I turn that into a platter for you, with double fries"; I say ok assuming that it would be cheaper than what I ordered or be more food. I got to the restaurant to pay and asked about the total, because the amount didn't seem right. I ordered 20 wings and a 1/2lb platter. He told me that because I ordered two different flavors of wings, I would have to pay the 10 wing price for each. First of all, this is the first time I've been charged like that at this restaurant, and my husband and I eat here regularly. The cook had to drop 20 wings in the fryer regardless. I guess having to reach for two sauces justifies the $2.12, but whatever I'm buying it.
So I'm waiting for my food and I'm guessing the guy working the counter is the owner/manager, because he starts talking about how "his idiots working there" let coleslaw and some other food expire. Uh, talking about expired product in your restaurant doesn't make me confident in eating your food! And also that's totally inappropriate to be talking about in front of customers.
So I finally get my food and head home. The celery that came with my wings was either brown and wilted or dry and disgusting. I attached a photo of it. I also ordered my fries crispy, and they were brown and burnt and still soggy. It was also less fries and more expensive getting them in a platter! I'm really disappointed because we live in the neighborhood and this is the first time we've had a really terrible experience here. After the nickel and diming and the poor quality of food, my family and I are never coming back! -

My daughter brought us here since it was close to her workplace and we were visiting from out of town. We went to the Emory location. Clean restaurant with fast service for take out. The fried okra was crispy and hot, not heavy like some breaded okra is. Loved the creamy red potato salad with large chunks of potatoes and fresh seasoning. The collard greens were perfect consistency and has chicken instead of pork. Overall great quality food and experience.

had high hopes. The customer service was excellent. The food not so good. I had the ribs, and they weren't cooked in the grill. in fsyc they were baked. wish I took a pic of them. they were full of grease which you don't get from the grill, the skin was very fatty and not thin and semi crispy like off the grill. they don't put sauce on the meat, the sauce itself was bland. The Mac n cheese tasted and looked like it came from a box. The baked beans tasted more like pork n beans.
I think I'll stick to my usual BBQ joints which I won't mention here. This was my last meal of 2018 and I was hoping for the best. -

Good spot. Stop to get some takeout and the pork was great. The brisket was ok. The slaw and Mac and cheese were great sides as well. Will be back again!
